‘Retelling Fate’s is an original YouTube series, where I ask a Magic 8 Ball yes or no questions, to help to write a retelling of the classic Cinderella story. I was inspired by the horror tabletop roleplay game, Dread, which uses a Jenga tower as its main mechanic. Dread, and other roleplay games like Dungeons & Dragon, make use of chance or luck to tell a story, and I wanted to explore the use of chance in storytelling.

I love creating worlds with deep stories and complex characters, and I wanted to create a YouTube series that captures my love for storytelling. This series serves as a fun outlet for my creativity, but it is also a writing challenge for myself, as a rookie writer.
